Simba Smoby UK had a consumer facing PR activity take place in August which was a great success called GLOWORM.
The Smoby Playzone at GLOWORM was an amazing success with parents and children alike. Every session was over subscribed with a queue of people waiting to come in even if not wrist banded so we have to operate a one in one out system between the wristband times. This means we were able to accommodate almost everyone. In all, if we count parents we would have had around 2500 people enter the Smoby playground. The playground itself looked sensational. It showed every product in a garden style setting and also how well pieces went together. Children really loved it and were upset when children had to leave!
Many parents told us that the Smoby zone was the very best thing at the show! And the amount of photos they were sharing means the awareness must have been huge. We found when the parents took back and let the children play naturally it worked best, so the benched we provided for them were ideal…albeit they were in full sun.
